Spring Qigong Online – 2025

The Health Movement presents an online class for spring health care with Ron Davis.

Spring Qigong is an online program designed to enhance your health during the spring season. This program has two aspects: a video in six chapters, and a written handout with detailed information. These videos and documents present a set of qigong exercises, explain Daoist meditations and offer dietary suggestions. This self-directed format can be accessed anytime at your convenience in the comfort of your home. Watch and learn as often as you wish until class access ends.

The unique combination of visual and written information will make understanding and practicing Spring Qigong a pleasantly rewarding experience. The videos combine talks with demonstrations and the handout integrates text with illustrations. This complementary information creates an easy way to enjoy good health during this season.Earth in Center185

Spring Qigong is based on the Five Phase paradigm of Chinese medicine. The Wood phase of spring is the time to take care of the powerful Rising Yang Qi that generates movement, growth and aspirations. This is the season to refresh and recharge the physical and mental aspects of the Liver Network. The physical features are the liver, muscles, tendons, and blood. The mental concerns are anger and kindness.

The Eight Brocades is a well-known qigong routine that’s a perfect way to start the day. Externally, they will add flexibility to your spine, strength to your legs, and increased range of motion in your arms. Internally, they move the qi and blood through the lower and middle dan tians which is the main goal of Spring Qigong practice.

The three exercises of Liver Qigong are focused on building qi in the Middle Dan Tian which is where energy accumulaates in spring. Nourishing Liver Qi is the most comprehensive exercise for spring health care because it combines use of sound, movement and mental intention in one exercise.

Meditations for Spring are Inner Nourishing and Rising Yang Qi. Dr. Ron will lead you through two vivid guided meditations that will circulate energy along your spine and up the Taiji Axis, the deepest channel connecting the three major energy reservoirs in your body. These beautiful Daoist meditations are especially enjoyable with Ron’s evocative narration.

Registrants will  have unlimited access to this class throughout the season. Here is what you get:
