 SPRING QIGONG presents a program of qigong exercises, Daoist meditations, and dietary advice specifically for staying healthy this season. Based on the Five Phase paradigm of Chinese medicine, spring is the Wood Phase. This is a critical time for enhancing the Rising Yang energy from nature, taking care of the liver, cleaning the blood, and cultivating the virtue of lovingkindness. You will learn a complete routine of qigong exercises for opening the chest and spine, the ancient practice of Inner Nourishing, and which foods and herbs will benefit the liver and blood. We will discuss the pros and cons of anger, and making seasonal lifestyle decisions for better health.

 As the energy in nature changes during spring, it also changes within us. To be naturally healthy we must stay in tune with these changes. This class will show you how with a complete program of self care based on the wisdom of Chinese Medicine. Spring Qigong will be an active class with more movements than in the other seasonal practices. The exercises will be balanced with deep relaxation for a well balanced and enjoyable experience.

Morning session is 9:00 - 12:00.
 There will be a mid-morning break for tea and snacks. Lunch is on your own, you may eat in the Dharma Center, or go out for an hour.
 Afternoon session is 1:00 - 3:00 pm.

Preregistered students will receive a handout with instructions for the qigong exercises, meditations and diet. Dr. Ron's book, "Qigong Through The Seasons", will be available. Please wear loose clothing. Bring drinking water and pen or pencil.
