Meditation is a major focus of Winter Qigong practice: How to get a handle on your internal chatter, how to open the energy circuits of the body, and how to rest in the peace of natural stillness. Meditation will help you enjoy life at a deep level of tranquillity and understanding.

This class will teach the basics of using Mindfulness Meditation in sitting, standing and walking positions to instill clarity and concentration of your mind. Daoist Meditations, like Seven Stars on the Microcosmic Orbit and Making Fear Disappear, employ luminous and precise visualizatons that will enhance energy flow through the channels and reservoirs of your body/mind.

Qigong (chee gong) exercises use body movement, regulated breathing, and mental intention to nourish and circulate the Qi - the energy that keeps us alive - through body and mind. Internal Winter Qigong exercises, like The Bear Frolic, Kidney Qigong and Bone Marrow Cleansing will nourish the body at the deepest energetic level with intentional movements and precise concentration.

The Kidney Nework is the main health concern for winter. Some of the aspects of the Kidney Network are: kidneys and bladder, ovaries and testes, bones, spinal cord, brain, water, winter, fear, wisdom, jing essence, grains, nuts and more. You will learn how all these different aspects are interconnected by the Kidney Network.

Topics for class discussions include:
The Sexual Response and how it affects the Jing/Essence differently in women and men,
Those Foods and Herbs that can enhance the Jing and support the immune system,
Why Seasonal Energetics of nature influence your health and well being.
